lovely! i feel that photographed faces really bring about an essence to a photo!
My wife and I had the privilage of previewing Carter's book before publication. My wife grew up in China--born in Shanghai--lived through the Cultural Revolution before she came to the United States and became an American citizen. She said, "Carter captures the heart and soul of China."
